Training for the employees of the state institutions within the project “Improving access of women and girls with disabilities to public services in Baku, Ganja, and Guba-Khachmaz region” was held in Baku city
The training was held for the employees of the state institutions in Baku City on February 26, 2024, within the project “Improving access of women and girls with disabilities to public services in Baku, Ganja, and Guba-Khachmaz region” funded by the UN Trust Fund to End Violence Against Women and managed by the "Disabled Women's Society" Public Union to end violence against women. The training was conducted by the director of the Ethics Academy and certified trainer, Gunel Ibrahim. The purpose of the training was to change the attitude towards women and girls with disabilities in public places with the participation of the state and civil society, to prevent acts of violence against women and girls with disabilities, and to improve the accessibility and quality of public services for them.
The training focused on providing trainings for employees and service personnel of public institutions on professional communication with women and girls with disabilities, as well as practical advice on professional ethical communication with people with disabilities, with a focus on women and girls with disabilities. During the training the information about the various public services useful for women and girls with disabilities and their family members was given. The identification of various forms of violence against them was covered in training on a variety of public services.

The training covered the following areas: culture of coexistence; rules of ethical conduct; ethics of behavior with women with disabilities; our responsibilities; public duty.
The certified trainer Gunel brahim highlighted the areas of professional ethical communication and communicative knowledge and skills for providing services for the women and girls with a range of disabilities and communication challenges to public organizations, social, health, justice, employment, and education and law enforcement officials during the training.
The project covers the cities of Baku, Ganja and the regions of Guba, Gusar and Khachmaz.
Project will be implemented during the period of September 2022 - August 2025 (36 months).
