Fourth round table was held in Guba city within the project “Improving access of women and girls with disabilities to public services in Baku, Ganja, and Guba-Khachmaz region”
On May 29, 2024 , the fourth round table was held in Guba City within the project “Improving access of women and girls with disabilities to public services in Baku, Ganja, and Guba-Khachmaz region” funded by the UN Trust Fund to End Violence against Women and managed by the "Disabled Women's Society" Public Union to end violence against women. The purpose of the ongoing implementation of the round table is to prepare local action plans that include measures in the field of improving the accessibility and quality of public services to change attitudes towards women and girls with disabilities in public places and to reduce and prevent cases of violence against them with the participation of the state, civil society, and private organizations.
Interesting discussions were held at the round table with the participation of various governmental, non-governmental, and business organizations.

Chairman of "Disabled Women's Society" Public Union Maluga Rahimova spoke about the work done within the project. The project leader gave extensive information in a slide format about joint cooperation with state institutions and services provided to disabled women.
 The presentation of the regional coordinator of the project Nahayat Shirinova was heard regarding the work done by the coordination council.
Based on the results of the seminars held for women and girls with disabilities in the project, Irade Rizazadeh, the chairman of the "For the Social Welfare of Citizens" Public Union talked about the transformation of disabled women who participated in the seminars into people who defend their rights. The reports of the coordinators of Gusar and Khachmaz districts were heard. Other members of the coordination council also gave final opinions and reports on the work done. Discrimination against women and girls with disabilities and their solutions were discussed at the round table. The participants of the event voiced the results of the work done in various fields and suggestions for further expansion of the activity. The rules of professional behavior towards disabled women and girls in state institutions and rapid elimination of problems were touched upon. The participants emphasized the importance of providing support for solving the problems of women and girls with disabilities with the motto "LIFE WITHOUT PROBLEMS". 

35 people from state institutions of Guba, Gusar, Khachmaz districts participated in the round table.
The overall goal of the project is to improve the accessibility and quality of public services for women and girls with disabilities from low-income families, including those who are from internally displaced families. Project will be implemented during the period of September 2022 - August 2025 (36 months).
