"Disabled Women's Society" Public Union is successfully continuing the implementation of the project "Improving access to public services for women and girls with disabilities in Baku, Ganja and Guba-Khachmaz region" with the financial support of the UN Trust Fund to End Violence against Women.
 
Within the framework of the project, the next training was organized for representatives of state institutions on June 13, 2024 in Baku.
During the day, the training was conducted by the director of the Ethics Academy, Gunel Ibrahim, a professional trainer. The purpose of the training is to change the attitude towards women and girls with disabilities in public places with the participation of state, civil society and private organizations and to prevent cases of violence against them, to improve the accessibility and quality of public services for them.
The training included practical instruction on professional ethical communication with people with disabilities, focusing on women and girls with disabilities, mainly for employees of government organizations and service personnel.


Employees of state institutions, businessmen, entrepreneurs who participated in the training expressed their satisfaction with the organization of the interesting training. The training participants expressed the need for continuous organization of this training to the employees of each state institution. The organization of the next training will be held on 14.06.2024.


NOTE: The quality of the training for representatives of state institutions, psychological instructions, and the high level of specialist skills have caused high interest in the organization of such trainings. The training is considered one of the successful activities of the project. The tactical moves of the project trainer have a great role in creating interesting and agenda-setting trainings.
The project has a high rating due to its constant presence in social networks. 27 people participated in the training.



The overall goal of the project: to further improve the accessibility and quality of public services for women and girls with disabilities from poor families, including internally displaced persons.


The project covers the cities of Baku, Ganja and the regions of Guba, Gusar, Khachmaz and will be implemented during the period of September 2022 - August 2025 (36 months in total).
The UN Trust Fund to End Violence against Women (UN Trust Fund) is the only global grantmaking mechanism dedicated exclusively to addressing all forms of violence against women and girls.
