Within the framework of the project “Improving Access to Public Services for Women and Girls with Disabilities in Baku, Ganja, Qusar, Quba, and Khachmaz,” a training session was held in Baku at the Chirag Plaza. This training was organized as part of the project implemented by the Public Association “Disabled Women’s Society” (DWS PA), supported by the UN Trust Fund to End Violence against Women. The goal of the project is to enhance access and quality of public services for women and girls with disabilities, particularly those from poor families, refugees, and internally displaced persons. The one-day training was conducted by professional trainer Gunel Ibrahim, Director of the Ethics Academy. The aim of the training was to foster a change in public attitudes toward women and girls with disabilities, to prevent violence against them, and to improve the accessibility and quality of public services through the involvement of government, civil society, and private sector representatives.

The training covered the following areas:
1) Culture of Coexistence
2) Rules of Ethical Conduct
3) Ethics of Interaction with Women with Disabilities
4) Our Responsibilities
5) Brain Codes
6) The Role of Society

Trainings held in Baku are always prominent due to their specific features. These sessions stand out for their high level of activity, mainly due to the central location and accessibility of government ministries and head offices based in the capital. Participants from Baku are in a better position to disseminate the newly acquired knowledge to all their subordinate departments in the regions. Therefore, the quality and impact of Baku- based trainings often result in improved performance indicators in regional departments.

To assess the knowledge gained, pre- and post-training tests were conducted. Additionally, consultations were recorded at the end of the session. Participants received certificates upon completion of the training.

The UN Trust Fund to End Violence against Women is the only global grant-making mechanism exclusively dedicated to addressing all forms of violence against women and girls at the local and national levels.

The project covers Baku, Ganja, and the districts of Quba, Qusar, and Khachmaz and is implemented over 36 months, from September 2022 to August 2025.

A total of 30 participants attended the training.
