A broad roundtable discussion was organized in Ganja to enhance equal access of women and girls with to public services. The event was held within the framework of the project “Improving Access of Women and Girls with Disabilities to Public Services in Baku, Ganja, Qusar, Quba, and Khachmaz Districts”, implemented by the Disabled Women Society Public Union (DWS PU) with the financial support of the UN Trust Fund. The roundtable took place at Ganja Plaza and focused on key topics such as the rights of women and girls with disabilities, access to psychological support, social protection mechanisms, and employment opportunities. The main objective was to ensure equal access to public services for this group, explore ways to prevent violence, and highlight the importance of eliminating discrimination.

The meeting brought together representatives of relevant state institutions, including local executive authorities, municipalities, the regional office of the Ombudsman, social service and employment agencies, as well as representatives from educational and healthcare institutions, NGOs, and community members. During the discussions, several initiatives were proposed regarding the expansion of support groups, strengthening networking, and sharing innovative ideas. Participants exchanged views and explored opportunities for joint cooperation. The Disabled Women Society Public Union once again emphasized that such platforms play a vital role in amplifying the voices of women and girls with disabilities in the regions, protecting their rights, and promoting their social integration.

In total, 38 participants attended the roundtable.
