In September of this year, “Disabled Women Society” Public Union (DWSA PU), with the financial support of the UN Trust Fund to End Violence against Women began implementing the project “Improving access of women and girls with disabilities to public services in Baku, Ganja, and Guba-Khachmaz region”. The overall goal of the project is to further improve the accessibility and quality of public services for women and girls with disabilities from low-income families, including from internally displaced families.
The project will cover the cities of Baku and Ganja and the districts of Guba, Gusar, and Khachmaz. Project implementation period: September 2022–August 2025 (36 months in total).

Seminars within the project

Through the seminars, women and girls with disabilities and their family members will be instructed and informed about the various public services useful to them, including the recognition of different forms of violence against them. Additionally, seminars seek to increase awareness among community members about the importance of public support to end violence against women and girls with disabilities.
Each seminar will be conducted over two days and four hours per day. 30 seminars (15 in Baku, 6 in Ganja, 3 in Guba, 3 in Gusar, and 3 in Khachmaz) are planned to be held during the implementation period of the project.

Trainings within the project
The project includes the development and implementation of training and counseling on professional communication with women and girls with disabilities.
The purpose of the training is to improve the knowledge and skills of professional communication with women and girls with disabilities for managers and service personnel of various organizations, mainly public organizations, as well as non-governmental and business organizations.
Each training will be conducted over two days and four hours per day. 25 trainings (15 in Baku, 4 in Ganja, 2 in Guba, 2 in Gusar and 2 in Khachmaz) are planned to be held during the implementation period of the project.
In accordance with the rules of the project, "Disabled Women's Society" Public Union announces a competition for a trainer who will cooperate with us during the implementation period of the project. In order to participate in the competition, we kindly ask you to send us your prepared proposal package (1. agendas, 2. presentations, and 3. handouts for training and seminars) by January 6, 2023.

Trainings are planned to start in March.
Please be aware that it is the responsibility of the trainer to travel to the location (city and region) where training and seminars are held. Travel costs will be covered for this within the project budget.
