A charity event dedicated to March 8, International Women's Day was held on  initiative of "Disabled Women's Society" Public Union, EGE Hospital, and Sahiyya TV. Twenty members of the "Disabled Women's Society" Public Union underwent various laboratory and diagnostic examinations as well as gave blood tests during the charity event held at EGE Hospital. Women who were determined having health issues during the examinations received professional medical advice. Participants of the event were informed of the proper treatment course to take in order to avoid complications from certain diseases in the future.

Twenty seminar participants of the project "Improving access of women and girls with disabilities to public services in Baku, Ganja, and Guba-Khachmaz region" funded by the UN Trust Fund to End Violence against Women and managed by the "Disabled Women's Society" Public Union, underwent various laboratory and diagnostic examinations as well as gave blood tests during the charity event held at EGE Hospital.




Mr. Barat Yusubov, the Chairman of the EGE Hospital's Supervisory Board, congratulated the women on the occasion of the holiday and said that they could help in the treatment of the event's participants. Barat Yusubov mentioned that the main objective of the initiative is to identify diseases of the women with disabilities at early-stage and prevent complications. Mr. Azer Khudiyev, the founder of Sahiyya TV, also congratulated the women who took part in the event on the occasion of International Women's Day and thanked EGE Hospital for supporting the initiative. Ms. Mahluga Rahimova, the Chairwoman of the "Disabled Women's Society" PU thanked Sahiyya TV and EGE Hospital for their assistance and expressed her deep satisfaction.


At the end of the charity event Barat Yusubov, the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of EGE Hospital and Azer Khudiyev, the founder of Sahiyya TV presented special holiday gifts to the twenty members of the
" Disabled Wom
en's Society" Public Union
